My journey in offering assistance to military veterans and their spouses began with my own parents.
My father was a World War II veteran. Like many of his generation, he served our country proudly for over three years in the South Pacific. After the War, my parents married, raised their family, and remained loyal and dedicated partners for over 50 years.
Over the many years since my father’s passing, financial resources and the fixed monthly income used to meet my elderly mother’s healthcare costs , living, and related expenses were depleting. Despite family support, additional funds were needed to meet her ever increasing health care needs. The limited fixed income she received as a surviving spouse, always a concern, became an ongoing problem with each passing month.
Like many families with relatives who have served our nation, we looked for answers to solve my mother’s long range healthcare needs. After spending a lot of time looking for options, I discovered that my father’s dedicated service in the Army not only helped our country win the War, but also enabled his wife, many years later, to receive the additional financial support she desperately needed through the VA.
The VA benefits application process can be long, time consuming, and detailed. The filing process requires time, patience and resolve to see it through to completion. Each applicant must provide detailed information necessary for the VA to determine whether he or she qualifies for eligibility to receive benefits.
My goal as an accredited attorney for the preparation and presentation of claims for veterans’ benefits before the VA is to provide assistance and advice that will help eligible veterans and their families to receive the benefits that they are entitled to and deserve.
